I have had these lanterns for a year now. They go on at dusk and are still on at dawn. I have never had solar lights stay on that long. They come with a stake to put them in the ground, but I like them on the railings of my porch. Two lanterns light up a 12X18 porch with no problem. I like the dragonfly image it projects too. The tops are brown which was an added bonus for me.
