Arkansas Solar Rebates
At the present time, there are no state solar rebates or solar incentives offered to homeowners who choose to go solar. Clean solar power is becoming more and more popular, so there is a possibility more Arkansas solar rebates will be offered in the future. Although there are no current Arkansas solar rebates, there are still solar incentives available for solar panel installation.
Arkansas residents can take advantage of a 30% Federal Energy Tax Credit offered by the federal government. The tax credit can be applied immediately to help offset solar installation costs.
Another Arkansas solar incentive is net metering, which enables your electric meter to actually run backwards. When your home solar panels generate more energy than you use, your local utility company will actually purchase it from you. Under the state’s law customers are not eligible to receive cash for net metering a solar system. However, any excess energy is credited towards future electricity bills. Residential solar systems up to 25 kW are eligible for net metering. To be eligible, customers must sign and submit an interconnection agreement with their utility at least 30 days before connecting an Arkansas solar system.
Arkansas solar rebates are lacking at this time. Clean solar is a growing energy source, so most likely there will be more Arkansas solar panel rebates and incentives in the future. The massive savings on utility bills and the increased value of your home due to solar installation will likely offset the money you spend on Arkansas solar panels.
