10kW Solar Kits These 10kW size grid tie home solar kits include solar panels, solar inverter, racking system for roof mount, hardware, cabling and instructions. Everything you need to get your residential system up and running. Does NOT include labor. A 10kW Solar Kit requires approximately 1050 square feet of space. Ideal output will be achieved with an unobstructed south-facing view of the sun for maximum solar power. 10kW is 10,000 watts DC direct current. This could produce an estimated 3,300 kWh kilowatt hours AC alternating current per month given 5 sun hours per day and at least 230 watt DC solar panels. Power output will vary based on location, equipment and installation factors. Refer to your electric utility bill to find your actual kWh used per month.
